It’s hard to believe that this little firecracker was on death’s door just two weeks before her shoot. While staying at her “grandparents” house she got into some rat bait and became incredibly ill. She spent several nights at the vet and underwent plasma transfusions. Thankfully, in true terrier fashion, she managed to fight her way back to good health but she gave her owner a massive scare in the process. When Nic saw I was coming to Canberra for Autumn sessions she seized the opportunity because she knew all too well that tomorrow isn’t promised.

Nic wasn’t sure that Scout could be off-lead or that she’d really cooperate in any way. I love when my subjects completely contradict their owners and rock their session like an absolute pro. She posed, she fetched and she made us laugh so hard. Gold star for Scout!

It’s safe to say that the hooning around portion of the shoot was her favourite part but she also liked being up close and personal with my treat dispensing hand!

Thank you for the laughs Scout, you are a clown and I loved getting to hang out with you and Nic!

If you’d like to know more about my Portrait Sessions you can click the button below or contact me via the form here. I typically only do one trip to Canberra a year but I’ve been told that Spring is another great time to shoot there, so get in touch if you live in the capital and would like to book a session with me then.
