Happy 13th Birthday Chopper and belated Happy 14th Birthday Angel!

I know they look all kinds of miserable in the first photo but even if they weren’t having to wait to eat cake I can assure you they’d still look like sad sacks – that’s their camera faces.

Those fugly cakes they’re eating are leftover donuts from my book launch with peanut butter, cream cheese and yoghurt frosting. Luckily dogs don’t care what their cake looks like so long as it tastes good.

Don’t worry, Bruno got some cake too. Probably more than everyone else actually!

I don’t know if we’re doing something special for our dogs to live to such ripe old ages or if we just got really lucky, but we feel very blessed and we’ll keep doing what we’re doing, just in case.
