After stalking this family on Instagram for several months I decided they just had to be the cover stars of my #SquishyFaceCrew book – I have no regrets!! Lurch, Marge, Oprah and Wilma were perfect models.

As well as the cover I wanted to give them a spread in the book so I took a few more photos at different spots nearby. I allowed a certain amount of time for each location but I kept getting the money shot lightening fast because these dogs are SO.WELL.BEHAVED! #goals

I’ve photographed a dog in this spot before and loved it so much I looked into growing a trumper vine at home … it’s still on the to-do-list though! Not to be out-done by the Pugs, Lurch also gave me the goods quick smart, then off home he went with his new rope toy. (Have you seen what a rope toy looks like after it’s been in a Mastiff’s mouth? Yeah, nah, you can keep that mate!).

First class modelling doggies, five stars, would recommend!

I chose this shot for the front cover. I thought I couldn’t love it any more until my friend Troy from Paraphernalia Design added the type … it’s perfect!
