The noise that came out of me when I first saw a photo of this chubby little baby was high pitched and loud. Thankfully it was done when no one else was within earshot!

I’ve known Gus’ owner since the early days of Ruthless Photos (she’s even had the unenviable job of pet sitting for us a few times). When she agreed that her new Aussie Bulldog puppy should be in Tails of Sydney I was beyond excited. If you know me at all you’ll know that I love puppies but I particularly love squishy face puppies. WOULD YOU JUST LOOK AT HIM!!

Gus had his shoot at Bundeena after he’d had his final vaccination, at 14 weeks. I don’t think I’ve ever met a more confident and well behaved puppy.

If you present me with a bulldog puppy to photograph I will want to take running photos, fair warning. I just love to see all those chubby folds being pulled back by the wind.

If your bulldog doesn’t head tilt send it back, it’s broken. Fact.

It started to rain but I was enjoying our session so much, and Gus was enjoying my treats so much, we both decided to push on.

I purposely sat Gus on the rock like this so I could capture those rolls. Don’t you just want to squeeze them? (That’s not weird to say, is it? I’m amongst friends here, right?!)

Gus’ owner had her viewing session last weekend and after much deliberation chose these images for an acrylic wall collection (along with a digital collection). Gus is already about three times bigger than he was at his shoot so I’m really glad I got to record these memories when we did and they can always remember how stinkin’ cute he was as a puppy!

If you’d like to read more about Bundeena and Gus (and 84 other locations and 116 other dogs) you can pick yourself up a copy of Tails of Sydney from my online store or from Rupert&Dora in Paddington. Spoiler alert, Gus isn’t the only Bulldog puppy in it!
