Recently I got the sad news that two of Divani’s littermates had died suddenly [in totally unrelated incidents]. While I’ve taken lots of photos of MonElite Dobermann’s puppies over the years I hadn’t taken many of her foundation bitch. We arranged a mini-session for the following weekend and I told her to bring her daughter and grand-daughter along too for a group shot. The star of the show was to be this pretty lady though.

Voodoo was the pick bitch from the litter I photographed at Easter. She’s growing into a gorgeous girl and doing really well in the show ring. She’s not a massive fan of being tied to a tree though!

Furia is Voodoo’s mother and Divani’s daughter. If you’re a long time follower of my blog you’ll be no stranger to this beautiful smile.

As the owner of four dogs who all sit and stay for photos without any issue I sometimes forget that it doesn’t come that easily to other dogs. Particularly when there’s a gaggle of ducks nearby! After several minutes with two handlers trying to wrangle the dogs into a sit or stand stay, they finally gave me this wonderful Destiny’s Child moment. I had really wanted them all to look at the camera, but I much prefer this shot. 100% credit goes to the ducks for getting them to stop moving and look in the same direction at once!

A couple of months ago MonElite Chocolate Godiva was mated to Ch Fireax Viva La Leyenda. On Friday she gave birth to twelve healthy puppies. Further details can be found on their website here. Hopefully I’ll get to shove my camera in their naughty little faces over the holidays!
