The ridiculously good looking Petey from @fetching The ridiculously good looking Petey from @fetchingdogs came for adoption photos yesterday. My boys had a social walk with him and his foster family recently (@dia_the_rescuepup) so I knew he was a lovely calm boy. You might notice his back leg is a bit funny looking – his story is a sad one ...This is cut and paste from his intro post in our private group:"A couple of days ago the team at ROAR at Cobar received a call from the local clinic that a puppy had been dropped off for euthanasia. Unfortunately for Cobar there is now no working vet in the area as she moved away, so fortunately for Petey no one could actually perform the euthanasia.This little boy fell off the back of a Ute and sustained an open tibia and fibula fracture that didn’t receive any sort of treatment for a week. By the time he made it to the vet it was infected, swollen, sore and he was in a state."He's since come into care and been seen by a specialist in Sydney but it's still up in the air whether he's a surgical candidate or if the leg will need to be amputated. Either way, he’s in safe hands and totally happy with his life in foster care. Canela was such an important member of her people' Canela was such an important member of her people's family they brought her with them when they moved here from Spain a few years ago. When she was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer recently they spared no expense trying to save her. They'd been planning to book a session with me before that and when they received the bad news they asked if I could fit them in ASAP.Canela was in good spirits and they were optimistic about the treatment working. When I received a message just a week later saying she was gone I was shocked and SO sad for them. She was only 6.5yrs old but she lived her life to the fullest and was deeply loved.
