Baby Spike turned one today 🥳
(Or maybe his birthday is on the 8th of October, the paperwork had both dates, but his brother’s adopter was going to celebrate today so we said we’d do the same. Butters’ is in October so no harm spacing them out!)
He had his photoshoot yesterday while my assistant/husband was free to help. I didn’t think he’d be in any of the pics so excuse his outfit. I actually photoshopped him out of any that I could, sorry Dave 🤣
This is the first location shoot Spike’s had so we brought all his favourite toys. The frisbee was new, and he wasn’t sure about it at first, but when he realised it could be a tug toy he was on board. He got a toy donut in lieu of cake because I figured he’d get more fun out of it.
Unfortunately Dave was helping to keep Spike from running down to the dam when we did the birthday hat photo so there’s no video of the incessant Staffy chat. You’ll have to take our word for it that it was pretty hilarious!
We didn’t adopt Spike as a puppy, he’s only been with us since March, but he’s made himself completely at home and the other two boys have fully accepted him (thank f**k!!). He’s such an adorably affectionate little brat and neither of us have any regrets. Here’s to lots more snuggles and adventures … and maybe some more foster puppies when the weather warms up, that will be interesting!
