The end of the financial year is fast approaching. If you’re thinking about making a charitable donation to reduce your tax bill I highly recommend all of the following registered charities. All three are run by volunteers so you know that your money is going straight to each individual cause. None of them receive any government funding or corporate sponsorship and they could really use your support.

Fetching Dogs

Fetching Dogs is dedicated towards providing all necessary vetwork to ensure an animal’s ongoing health. Every rescued dog is vaccinated, desexed, heartworm tested and treated. Sometimes they will have dogs that require additional surgery or veterinary assistance. More often than not, the adoption fee does not cover the expense of ensuring a dog’s health, which is why they fundraise with events and attend festivals.

Fetching Dogs is an incorporated, non-profit charity. Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible and can be made via PayPal, bank transfer or by cheque.

Team Dog

Team Dog is an open-minded, community charity with a focus on keeping pets in homes that love them and out of the pound system. All of their programs contribute to increasing live release rates in pounds and shelters in NSW, as well as providing a much-needed support system for pet owners who are struggling. Their key programs include Pound Intervention, Pound Enrichment and Pet Owner Support.

Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible and can be made via PayPal, bank transfer or by cheque.

Saving Staffies
