Following on from the success of 2016’s fundraiser project – Tails of Sydney, which has raised over $8k for three Sydney dog rescue groups to date – I’m excited to announce this year’s project, the #SquishyFaceCrew book! In 2017 I will be sticking my camera in the squishiest of faces, probably saying OH MY GOD quite a lot (how annoying, right?) and, at the end of it, designing and producing a beautiful, full colour, coffee table book.
Instead of a session fee, participants pay a very reduced rate and agree to purchase wall art or a fine art print collection to cover my time and enable me to keep producing these books. (Last year alone, my fundraising efforts generated $15,000 for worthy dog causes!)
Participation Fee & Fundraising
If your application is successful, the participation fee is $100 per dog. The #SquishyFaceCrew book project will raise funds for two local charities – Mini’s Bulldog Rescue and Pug Patrol Rescue. They will each receive an equal share of the money raised from:
– 50% of each participation fee
– 10% of the profits from all product sales (wall art, print collections, albums, digital files, etc.)
– 10% of the profits from all book sales
After your shoot you’ll select images of your dog to purchase
Wall art and ready to frame fine art print sets start at $550. I offer a wide variety of beautiful products so you’ll be able to order exactly what you want. I’m 100% transparent in all my transactions, and there are no hard sells or surprises along the way. Flexible, interest-free payment plans are available.
– A photo session at a Sydney location
– A private appointment at my studio to view your images and purchase art for your home
– A Masterpet/Vitapet goody bag
– Ruthless Photos and Ruthless Leather vouchers worth $200
Digital files, prints and copies of the book are purchased separately. As mentioned, participants agree to purchase products (which start at $550), the cost of which simply covers my time and enables my sustainable fundraising that generates five figures on behalf of the dog community, year after year.
Who can apply?
Owners of brachycephalic dogs with wrinkly, squishy faces. Young and old, big and small, rescues, mixed breeds and purebreds. Locals and out-of-towners.
Brachycephalic Airway Obstruction Syndrome
This project in no way supports or endorses breeders that continue to produce puppies, to fulfil buyer demand, with no concern for their future health. As the popularity of these types of dogs grows the groups that rescue them need more support, which is why I’ve chosen brachy breeds for this book.
